Asher Enterprises has been building their homes across the Chippewa Valley and beyond since 2001 using a system called ICF. ICF or Insulated Concrete Forms are forms that have built-in insulation for accepting reinforced concrete. They have been around since the late 1960's and have been fast-becoming the mainstream preferred building product worldwide the last four years. Asher has partnered with A-One Form a leader in the industry.

A solid mass of concrete combined with two built-in layers of foam insulation on either side give ICF homes some sizable advantages over an ordinary stick-built home. Greater energy efficiency. Comfort is king with A-One Form. Nothing blows though reinforced concrete. There will be absolutely ne drafts or cold spots. ICF homeowners have commented on how constant temperatures stay within their homes. Because of the tremendous thermal mass of the exterior wall envelop, temperature peaks are smoothed, and therefore homes are noticeably warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

The A-One Form is environmentally friendly for many reasons. EPS is 100% recyclable. ICF's conserve lumber -a typical two story home will save 13 trees. If an A-One home should ever catch fire, the forms do not give off any toxins.

Walls made of ICF do not support combustion so insist on the masonry rating for your homeowner's insurance - The finishing materials used inside and out can be identical to that of wood framed - This block can be installed at temperatures down to 0 degrees F - Unlimited design possibilities.
